


Congrats to the 2026 Scholar athletes from Bangor High School!
To receive this honor, students must maintain a 3.25 GPA, earn at least four varsity letters across two sports, and participate in a sport during their senior year.
The students were recognized at the Southwest 10 Scholar Athlete Awards Luncheon, which took place today. Each student was celebrated with a plaque and an honor cord to wear at graduation and joined peers from across the conference for a special awards lunch.

Varsity girls soccer recap from Coach Robles: The Lady Vikings continue to play great soccer. Last night, the team hosted the Bloomingdale Cardinals in another conference matchup and showed strong chemistry from the opening whistle. The Vikings offense came out firing, scoring seven goals before halftime, while the defense held the Cardinals scoreless in a dominant team performance.
Bangor added one more goal in the second half to finish the match by mercy rule with an 8–0 victory.
Andrea Barajas led the attack with 4 goals and 1 assist. Nereida Sanchez added 2 goals, while Magdaly Gonzalez and Isabella Macedo each scored once.
Samantha Ogrodny contributed 2 assists, and Isabela Macedo also recorded an assist. Goalkeeper Solexey Calderon made 3 saves to help secure the shutout.
The Lady Vikings improve to 5–4 overall and remain undefeated in conference play at 5–0. The team returns to action Friday at 5:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Lake.
