Bangor High School students enjoyed the comedic stylings of guest speaker/comedian Josiah B Jones today. As an ordained minister, Jones merges his faith and comedy, delivering hilarious punchlines, historical trivia, life lessons and more without resorting to profanity.

Ms. Peterson and the BHS Umoja group would like to extend a big thank you to Mr. Jones for the laughs!

Recap from coach Marbut: Varsity Competitive Cheer had their last competition of the season at Districts placing 8th out of 12 teams. I'm so proud of the girls for how hard they worked this year to achieve their goals, our small team put up a fight every competition. During conference finals Oriana Wellington was nominated for 1st Team All Conference, we will have Academic All State and All District results soon.

Congrats Bangor wrestlers for qualifying for the MHSAA State Wrestling finals!

Recap from Coach Muñoz: Varsity wrestlers competed in Individual Regionals at Martin and Portage Northern over the weekend. Aiden Muñoz, Enrique Macedo, and Isabel Marin-Hernandez will continue on to the MHSAA State Finals on March 6th held at Ford Field in Detroit.

Snow Day! Bangor Public Schools is closed Monday February 23rd due to inclement weather.

Project Connect is an annual outreach of area social service agencies and organizations. Families, seniors, veterans, individuals, and those in danger of homelessness are welcome to seek needed services.

It's Winterfest week at Bangor High! Yesterday, staff and students dressed up for "Devers Day," in honor of Mr. Phil Devers, who will be retiring at the end of the school year. Staff members wore their special Mr. Devers t-shirts in solidarity to show Mr. Devers how much we appreciate him! (a few staff members were added to the group photo later...obviously 😆)

National School Resource Officer (SRO) Appreciation Day is celebrated annually on February 15 to recognize sworn law enforcement officers who work in schools. Today we are recognizing Officer Paul Leonard for making our schools safe each day! If you see him, please thank him for his dedication to Bangor Public Schools.

FAFSA Completion Night BPS February 3, 2026 When: Wednesday, February 11, 2026 Time: 5:00-6:30 pm Where: Bangor HS Library Come and get Help with Completing your Free Application for Federal Student Aid. A college representative will be here to assist and to help apply to LMC if you need help. There will be a drawing for gas cards for those who attend. Any questions, see Mrs. Munro.

Do you have a special someone, or maybe a friend you’d like to treat? You’re in luck! The Freshman Class is now selling cookie bouquets during the High School lunches and in the middle school office with Ms. Brittany for Valentine’s Day. A single cookie is $1 or a bouquet of 6 for $5, you pick! The sale ends on Tuesday, February 10th and they will be delivered Wednesday February 11th during 7th hour. Premade bouquets will also be for sale during Middle and High School Conferences February 11th 4:30-7:30.

Congrats to Isabel Lounsbury on winning first place in the Ice Sculpture (school category) competition, at the South Haven Icebreaker festival. She made an amazing sculpture of a Viking ship.
